Rebecca Carey

Rebecca Carey has extensive experience in educational development and organizational change. As Vice President at the Education Development Center (EDC) since September 2017, Rebecca has also served as Associate Director of the US Division. Previously, Rebecca held the position of Senior Project Director at EDC from June 2010 to December 2016, acting as Deputy Director of the Regional Education Laboratory Northeast & Islands. From 2002 to 2010, Rebecca was a Project Director at EDC, managing various federally sponsored contracts and grants. Prior to EDC, Rebecca worked at IBM from 1997 to 2003 as an Organization Change Consultant, where notable contributions included managing the Reinventing Education Change Toolkit project and consulting on redesigning organizational processes. Rebecca holds a Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Vassar College.
