Ami Asar

Ami A. is an experienced educator currently serving as a 1st Grade Teacher at Lazear Charter Academy through Education for Change Public Schools since July 2022 and a Corps Member with Teach For America since February 2022. Ami A. has a background in research, having worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Florida from May 2021 to April 2022, focusing on education, justice, and equality related to post-secondary education policy. Prior experience includes a Summer Impact Intern role at Tulsa Community Foundation in June 2021, Fundraising Coordinator for Gigi Simmons for Gainesville City Commission from December 2020 to March 2021, and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida from December 2019 to January 2021. Ami A. holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Philosophy, and Political Science from the University of Florida (2018 - 2022) and is pursuing an Inspired Teaching and Learning Credential at National University (September 2022 - April 2024).
