EDUCATION FOR CHANGE
Eva Huffman has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Eva currently works as the Director of Special Education & Student Support Services at Education for Change Public Schools, where they led the implementation of multi-tiered systems of supports for over 3000 students. Eva also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of San Francisco and as a Special Education Consultant as an independent consultant.
Prior to these roles, Eva worked at Envision Education as a Special Education Program Specialist, Lead Learning Specialist, and Special Education Program Manager & Specialist. Eva also served as a Special Education Teacher at the Hawaii State Department of Education and held a position as an Elected Representative and Education Committee Chair at the Wahiawa-Whitmore Board for the City and County of Honolulu. Additionally, Eva began their career in education as a Teacher through Teach for America. Eva has also had research assistant experience at the University of San Francisco School of Law.
In the future, Eva has a planned role as a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis in 2023.
Eva Huffman is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of San Francisco School of Law, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Policy & Anthropology from Smith College, completing their studies from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, they pursued further education at Chaminade University of Honolulu and earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Leadership from 2010 to 2012. During the same period, they also obtained a License in Special Education K-12 from Chaminade University. In 2016, Eva attained a Master's degree in Leadership & Clear Administrative Services Credential from Reach University, completing their studies in 2018. Additionally, they participated in the Emerging Leaders Program at New Leaders from 2014 to 2015.
