Maree Carr has a diverse work experience in education. Maree currently serves as the Revenue Operations Systems Manager at Education Perfect, where they started in March 2023. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Head of School Engagement, ANZ, Teacher Consultant Team Leader, and Teacher Consultant at the same company. Maree also worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Education Perfect.
Before joining Education Perfect, Maree worked at The University of Queensland as an Assessment Marker for the UQ Graduate Diploma of Education (Japanese). Maree also worked at St Rita's College as a Japanese Teacher and at Southern Cross Catholic College as a Japanese Teacher & Department Coordinator. During their time at Southern Cross, they coordinated the Japanese curriculum area from Years 7-12 and developed a successful e-learning program.
Additionally, Maree worked at West Moreton Anglican College as a Japanese & ESL Teacher, where they delivered high-standard lessons and redesigned the Languages Department and International School websites. Maree also collaborated on modernizing the Year 8 program and creating additional support materials.
Earlier in their career, Maree taught Japanese at five separate Brisbane Catholic Education primary schools and had the opportunity to visit Japan on a scholarship, studying at Ritsumeikan University. Maree taught Year 6-7 Japanese lessons and participated in various projects.
Maree Carr obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Japanese and Journalism from The University of Queensland from 2000 to 2002. Later, from 2004 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree specializing in Secondary Education and Teaching at the Australian Catholic University.
