Matt Herndon

Matt Herndon currently serves as a Fellow at the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research through Education Pioneers, starting in October 2023. Previously at Google from July 2017 to March 2023, Matt held several positions including Sourcer for Google Cloud Product Managers, where over 2,000 candidates were engaged and 20 roles filled, alongside significant contributions to diversity and inclusion initiatives. As a Staffing Services Associate, Matt improved hiring processes for Cloud and Marketing divisions, impacting over 2,000 new hires. Additional experience includes roles in early childhood education with Learning Bridge Early Education Center and Jumpstart, customer service at Google’s Global Customer Experience, and community engagement projects with multiple organizations. Matt holds degrees in Social Policy and Urban Studies from Northwestern University and a GED from Turpin High School.
