Jay Young

Jay Young has a diverse work experience in education and information support services. Jay currently works at Education Service Center, Region 20 as the Component Director of Information Support Services. Previously, they worked as a Coordinator for Student Data Support and TSDS/PEIMS Student Data Support. Jay also worked as a Product Analyst for the Texas Computer Cooperative, where they served as a Product Owner for a Student Information System, implementing Agile framework. Before that, they worked as a PEIMS Coordinator at the same organization. Prior to joining Education Service Center, Region 20, Jay worked at Education Service Center, Region 2 as a Student Information Specialist, specializing in tech support for TxEIS and TSDS systems. Jay has also gained experience as an Assistant Band Director at both Corpus Christi Independent School District and Alice Independent School District.

Jay Young completed a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Jay then pursued a Master of Music degree in Tuba Performance from Texas Tech University, attending from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, Jay Young obtained various certifications, including a Registered Texas School Business Administrator certification from the Texas Association of School Business Officials in 2023. Jay also completed multiple professional development courses in areas such as executive leadership, project management, and Microsoft software tools.
