Education Travel & Culture

At ETC, we are more than just a non-profit student exchange organization. We are a family comprised of hundreds of employees, independent contractors, volunteers, and host families who are passionate about education, travel, and culture. Since 1998, ETC has provided opportunities for high school students around the world to study in an American high school and live with an American family. Today, we are privileged to connect students from 13 different countries with loving volunteer host families across the U.S. for either a semester or academic school year. ETC maintains a professional staff at its main office in Portland, Oregon and also has a network of volunteers and Local Coordinators throughout the country that serve as the local support for the students, host families, and schools. Whether you are looking to volunteer, looking for a part-time telecommute opportunity, or wanting to increase your family’s cultural awareness by hosting an exchange student, ETC invites you to join the family and start experiencing the world today!
