EWA has worked for more than 70 years to help journalists get the story right. Today, we have more than 3,000 members benefiting from our high-quality programs, services, training, support and recognition. Founded in 1947 by newspaper education reporters, the organization now includes journalist members who work as reporters, bloggers, freelancers, and Web content providers for newspapers, magazines, radio, online news sites, and television. Community members include advocates, authors, researchers, policy makers, educators, writers for educational organizations, public relations professionals, and more.
