Luke Fountain is a student at Washington and Lee University with experience as a Reporter for the Ring-tum Phi, Career Fellow, Contact Committee Member, Mock Trial Attorney and Witness, and Podcast Co-Chair. Luke has also worked as a Reporter for the Society of Professional Journalists, Education Writers Association, The Daily Progress & Central Virginia Media Group, and The News-Gazette. Additionally, Luke has served as a Congressional Intern at the U.S. House of Representatives, a #HungerFighter at Campus Kitchen, an Employee at Market Fresh Produce Hickory, and a Founding Member of the Coalition for Change. Luke has studied at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Catawba Valley Community College, and Fred T Foard High School.

We are the professional organization for education journalists and communicators. Our mission is to increase the quality and quantity of education coverage to create a better-informed society. EWA has worked for more than 70 years to help journalists get the story right. Today, we have more than 3,000 members benefiting from our high-quality programs, services, training, support and recognition. Founded in 1947 by newspaper education reporters, the organization now includes journalist members who work as reporters, bloggers, freelancers, and Web content providers for newspapers, magazines, radio, online news sites, and television. Community members include advocates, authors, researchers, policy makers, educators, writers for educational organizations, public relations professionals, and more.
