Shao Mei Zhang, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Shao Mei began their career as a Volunteer at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, Health Education Department, where they facilitated health workshops for the elderly and conducted outreach events. Shao Mei then interned at the Asian&Pacific Islander Coalition On HIV/AIDS, performing administrative tasks and organizing client information. Shao Mei also worked as a Data Analyst at F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg, where they analyzed survey results and created detailed reports. Shao Mei gained experience in sales as a Seasonal Sales Associate at L&T Kitchen Studio Inc. Additionally, they served as an Intern at the Sustainability Division at Syracuse University, promoting recycling and sustainability initiatives. Shao Mei also worked as a Patient Service Representative at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, where they assisted with patient registration. Shao Mei'smost recent roles include being a Health and Wellness Specialist, Director of Health and Wellness for Older Adult Services, Interim Program Director of Sirovich Center for Balanced Living, and currently, the Senior Director of Older Adult Programs at Educational Alliance. In these roles, they managed and supervised health and wellness programs, developed curriculum, and oversaw the realization of major goals for various programs and centers. Shao Mei Zhang completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness Studies, General from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2014, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Public Health and Policy Studies from Syracuse University. In their earlier years, from 2006 to 2010, Shao Mei Zhang attended Staten Island Technical High School and earned an Advanced Regents Diploma, although the field of study is not specified.
