Gayatri Vaidya has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gayatri started their career in 2011 as a Creative Writer at Decode Communications and later joined Stimulant Communications, where they served as a Creative Writer until 2021. In 2012, they took on the role of Junior Scientist at Loyola Centre for Research & Development, St. Xavier's College. Additionally, Gayatri worked as a Columnist for British Academy, contributing articles on various elements of Ahmedabad. In 2013, they joined St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad as the Manager for Career Oriented Programmes and later became the Mass Media & Audio-Visual Communications Course Co-ordinator. Gayatri also held the position of Member Secretary at Xavier Research Foundation-Business Incubator.
Since 2013, Gayatri has been associated with Educational Initiatives, where they have held multiple roles. Gayatri started as an Educational Specialist and gradually progressed to become a Senior Educational Specialist, Manager of Assessments, and then Senior Manager of Assessments. From 2019 to 2021, they served as the Senior Manager of Language Pedagogy and Assessment Research. In 2021, Gayatri became the Associate Vice President of Mindspark-Regional Languages, and their most recent role, starting in June 2022, is as the Associate Vice President of Ei-Shiksha.
Furthermore, Gayatri is an Advisory Committee Member for the Teacher Competency Matrix in the AP-SALT (Andhra Pradesh State Learning Transformation) Programme, which is supported by the World Bank.
Gayatri Vaidya's education history includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics from Gujarat University (2014-2016), a PhD in Plant Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Plant Biotechnology from Gujarat University (2005-2009), and a BSc in Biochemistry from Gujarat University (1995-1998). Additionally, they completed an Executive Education Program on Strategic Non-Profit Management in India from Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2019. Gayatri Vaidya also holds certifications in Igniting Emotional Engagement, Powerless to Powerful: Taking Control, and Ram Charan on Coaching High Potentials from LinkedIn, all obtained in 2018.
