Cary Supalo

Cary Supalo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in educational research and accessibility initiatives. Currently serving as a Research Developer at Educational Testing Service since September 2016 and an Honorary Professor of Chemistry at the University of Sydney since September 2022, Cary collaborates on adapting undergraduate laboratory curricula for blind and vision-impaired students. As President of Independence Science since February 2009, Cary oversees the formation of collaborations and daily operations. Previous roles include Research Scientist and Post Doctoral Fellow at Purdue University, as well as Project Manager for the Independent Laboratory Access for the Blind at Penn State University, focusing on access technologies in high school science labs. Cary's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from Penn State University, an MBA from Penn State Smeal College of Business, and dual undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Communication from Purdue University.
