Joe Burgess

Joe Burgess is an experienced technology and education leader with a strong background in product development, engineering, and team management. Currently serving as the Head of Platform for K12 + GHE at ETS since October 2024, Burgess manages a diverse team to support products generating over $150M in revenue. Prior experience includes co-founding Ribbon Education as Chief Technology Officer, where leadership of engineering and sales teams was central. At WeWork, Burgess played a key role in establishing Flatiron School's Corporate Training division, achieving seven-figure revenue. As VP of Product and Delivery at Flatiron School, Burgess led a large team to drive product creation and delivery, with earlier roles including Director of Product and founding team member. Additional expertise includes consulting for IBM during transitions and serving as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. Joe Burgess holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
