Ilya Volodarsky

Ilya Volodarsky is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with a strong background in technology and wildfire mitigation efforts. As Co-Founder and CEO of Wildfires.org since January 2022, Ilya has been instrumental in leading a non-profit R&D team dedicated to addressing catastrophic wildfires in the Western United States. In parallel, Ilya serves as a Partner at Convective Capital, focusing on early-stage investments to support solutions for the growing wildfire crisis. Previously, Ilya co-founded and served as President of Segment, a leading customer data platform, where the team expanded to over 600 employees and achieved significant revenue growth. Earlier career experiences include roles at Microsoft Corporation, LeanServer, and the MIT Media Lab, where Ilya contributed to various projects in software development and research. Ilya holds a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earned between 2008 and 2012.
