David Clunie

David Clunie currently serves as the General Partner and Head of Community Relations at Edward Jones, a position held since February 2023. Previously, Clunie was the Executive Director at the Black Economic Alliance from March 2020 to January 2023. Clunie's extensive experience at JPMorgan Chase & Co. spanned from October 2015 to March 2020, where various roles included Managing Director and Senior Corporate Responsibility Executive. Earlier career highlights include serving as Executive Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as Deputy Associate Counsel at The White House. Clunie began a legal career as a Litigation Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and served as a Deputy Director of Voter Protection for Obama for America during the 2008 campaign. Clunie holds a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany.
