Michael Powdermaker has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael began their career in 1992 at McKinsey and Company, where they served as the Director of Network Engineering and Infrastructure for 25 years. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing network engineering operations.

Following their tenure at McKinsey and Company, Michael joined ConfluCore, llp. in 2017 as the CTO and Co-Founder Partner. Michael played a crucial role in establishing the company and contributing to its growth before leaving in 2019.

Afterward, Michael joined MetLife as the Director of Network Engineering in 2019. In this position, they led the global network engineering DevOps teams, driving strategic IT vision and architecture for 800 global locations supporting 90 million clients and 80,000 users in over 60 countries. Michael implemented highly agile and DevOps practices with Cloud, SaaS, and hybrid architectures to enhance connectivity and client application services. Their tenure with MetLife lasted until 2022.

Currently, Michael is working at Edward Jones as the Director of Infrastructure Services, starting in 2022.

Michael Powdermaker attended the State University of New York at Purchase from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Liberal Arts. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in April 2022, "Communicating in Times of Change" from LinkedIn in February 2022, "Cultivating a Growth Mindset" from LinkedIn in October 2021, and "Inclusive Leadership" from LinkedIn in August 2021.
