Gail Hormats, CIA, CISA, CRMA, ACDA, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in internal auditing, compliance, and healthcare consulting. Currently serving as Sr Internal Auditor II (Performance) at the Massachusetts State Auditor’s Office since March 2024, Gail has also held various leadership roles, including Principal Consultant at GFH Consulting and Project Manager at Winterhawk Consulting. With a strong dedication to healthcare improvement, Gail has volunteered as a Board Member and Governance Committee Chair at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center since 2005. Previous positions include Senior Compliance Auditor at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Manager of Audit and Compliance at Baystate Health, emphasizing strategic planning and risk management.
