Genyne Henry Boston, PhD has extensive work experience in academia. Currently, they are the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Edward Waters University, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Florida A&M University, where they served as the Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs/ Chief of Staff in the Division of Academic Affairs from 2015 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for managing faculty recruitment, development, and retention, as well as introducing and managing initiatives for student success and institutional innovation. Additionally, they directed various departments and programs, including the Meek-Eaton Black Archives and Research Center and the Faculty Development program. Before their role as Associate Provost, they were a Professor of English and served as the Director of the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) from 2012 to 2014 at Florida A&M University.
