Austin Peat

Austin Peat is a Design Assurance Quality Engineer II at Edwards Lifesciences, with experience in new product development and technical development for the SAPIEN M3 Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement System. Responsibilities include design and development of implant delivery systems, risk management, and conducting pivotal trial and commercial complaint investigations. Prior roles include Design Assurance Quality Engineer I and Clinical Research and Development Engineer Co-Op, where Austin contributed to the Cardioband Transcatheter Tricuspid Annular Reduction Device project. Additionally, Austin worked as a Research Engineer for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, focusing on a novel cardiac device, and served in various capacities within Texas A&M University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, including teaching assistant and undergraduate assistant research engineer. Austin holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
