Ricardo Santamaría Adame

Ricardo Santamaría Adame, PhD, currently serves as a Specialist in Quality Compliance at Edwards Lifesciences, overseeing Quality Compliance and Post-Market Surveillance in the Transcatheter Heart Valve Business Unit since February 2022. Prior to this role, Ricardo held the position of Associate Specialist in the same field for the Surgical Heart Valve Business Unit. Between December 2015 and June 2021, Ricardo was an investigator at the CNIC - Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research, focusing on vascular remodeling under Dr. Alicia García Arroyo. A brief research stint at the German Rheumatism Research Center Berlin took place in November 2019. Ricardo began a career in research as an undergraduate student investigator at the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe in early 2015. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Molecular Biosciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Master’s in Medical Science Liaison from CESIF, alongside a Master’s in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Biomedicine from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. An undergraduate degree in Biotechnology was obtained from Universitat Politècnica de València.
