Srikara Viswanath Peelukhana

Senior Principal Engineer: Sapien M3 at Edwards Lifesciences

Srikara Viswanath Peelukhana is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and cardiovascular diagnostics. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Edwards Lifesciences, Srikara specializes in the development of Sapien M3 transcatheter mitral valve delivery systems. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Engineer at Boston Scientific, focusing on the WATCHMAN FLX Pro device, and a position at Medtronic as a Senior R&D Engineer, where Srikara worked on thermal margin assessments and FEA modeling for LVADs. Additional roles encompass postdoctoral research on aortic dissection devices at the California Medical Innovations Institute and various research and teaching assistant positions at the University of Cincinnati and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Srikara holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s degree from Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering.
