Patrick Shelton

Patrick Shelton serves as the Superintendent of Edwardsville School District since July 2021 and has been an Adjunct Professor at Lindenwood University since August 2014. Previously, Patrick held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education at Lee's Summit R-7 School District from July 2020 to July 2021, and Coordinator of Customized Learning at Parkway Schools from July 2017 to July 2020. Additional experience includes serving as Principal of Hanna Woods Elementary School from July 2010 to June 2017 and Principal/Curriculum Director at Wood River-Hartford School District #15 from August 2002 to July 2010. Early in the career, Patrick was the Director of Vocal Music at Staunton Community Unit School District #6. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, an Educational Specialist degree, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Culver-Stockton College.
