Corbin Hiar is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in environmental and business reporting, currently serving as a Business Reporter at E&E News since November 2014. Hiar has received multiple accolades, including the 2022 award from the DC chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for online business reporting on Exxon and a 2020 investigative reporting award for exposing weaknesses in Trump-era EPA regulations. Previous roles include Public Health Reporter and Interior Department Reporter, where significant stories addressed environmental regulations and corporate accountability. Hiar's early career included positions at SNL Financial, The Center for Public Integrity, The Huffington Post, and various other notable organizations, building a foundation in impactful journalism.
