Jesper Bergendal

Executive Vp, Marketing at EF Education First

Jesper Bergendal has extensive experience in the marketing and digital advertising industry. Jesper started their career in 1999 as the Digital Marketing Director at EF Education First, where they led the company's digital marketing, advertising, and web strategy. Jesper then progressed to roles such as Marketing Director and VP Concept & Experience Design, where they developed and directed global marketing and communications plans and focused on enhancing the customer journey for clients. Bergendal went on to become the Executive VP, Chief of Staff at EF Education First, overseeing sales and marketing, staff management, and operations in multiple countries. In 2017, they became a Board Member of C Talks, an independent peer-to-peer community for senior executives. Prior to their time at EF Education First, Bergendal co-founded O2 Interactive Media, a Nordic digital marketing agency, and served as its CEO until its acquisition in 1999.

Jesper Bergendal completed a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from the Stockholm School of Economics from 1992 to 1998. In 1995, they participated in an exchange semester at McGill University, focusing on International Marketing. Prior to their university studies, Jesper attended the Swedish Army Electronic Warfare School (Televapen) from 1991 to 1992, where they obtained the rank of Second Lieutenant and specialized in Russian Language.
