Lena-Marie Gotting has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Lena-Marie started their career as a Research Intern at the Saxon Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment, where they conducted research on the European Fund for Rural Development. Lena-Marie later had a second internship at the ministry, focusing on assisting with the setup of a new program for funding. Lena-Marie then interned at the World Wildlife Fund, where they conducted comparative research on sustainability labels.

After their internships, Lena-Marie worked as a Research & Business Development Intern at the Björn Agency, an agency for sustainable kids' fashion brands. Lena-Marie then worked as a Kitchen Manager, Pizza Maker, and Server at Da Portare Via, before transitioning to a Customer Support Coordinator role at QWIC.

In 2018, Lena-Marie joined UTZ Certified (now Rainforest Alliance) as a Program & Member Support Coordinator, where they supported business partners along the supply chain to ensure compliance with standards and policies. Later that year, they joined Effectory as an International Project Manager, facilitating employee feedback solutions and improving organizational agility and performance.

At Effectory, Lena-Marie took on the role of Business Process & Change Manager, contributing to the transition of the organization to a subscription-based business model. Lena-Marie was responsible for designing and implementing the necessary organizational changes and driving product innovation to accelerate the development of the company's SaaS product. Currently, they hold the position of Product Manager at Effectory.

Lena-Marie Gotting completed their education in a chronological manner. Lena-Marie began their academic journey in 2004 at Dresden International School, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Lena-Marie then pursued their undergraduate studies at Amsterdam University College from 2011 to 2014, majoring in Political Sciences and Environmental Studies. Afterwards, they continued their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2014 to 2016, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Environment and Resource Management.
