Sam Evett

Sam Evett is an experienced database administrator with a strong background in MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle technologies. Currently serving as a MySQL Database Administrator at Effectual since July 2022, Sam has previously held positions such as Senior MySQL DBA at Zendesk and Database Engineer at Wells Fargo. Sam’s extensive career includes roles at Cengage Learning, SciQuest, and FHI 360, where expertise in database support and administration was honed. In addition to technical roles, Sam has contributed to aviation as a flight instructor for Wings of Carolina Flying Club since March 2007 and has volunteered as a pilot for Children's Flight of Hope. Academic credentials include a BSBA and BA in Accounting and Computer Science from East Carolina University.
