Betsy Smith

Chief Nursing Officer at Effingham Health System

Betsy Smith has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Betsy started their career as a Staff Nurse at Memorial Health University Medical Center in 1997 and worked there for two years. In 1999, they joined The Georgia Institute for Plastic as an RN, assisting Dr. RJ Greco and their partners. Betsy spent almost a decade with the institute before moving on to Effingham Health System in 2008, where they initially served as the Chief Nursing Officer until 2012. Betsy then transitioned into the role of Physician Liaison and continued to work at Effingham Health System. In 2014, Betsy became the Chief Nursing Officer once again, a position they currently hold.

Betsy Smith obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Georgia Southern University, completing their education at the institution between 1990 and 1996. Betsy'sfield of study at the university was focused on Nursing.
