Dan Vermeer

Dan Vermeer is an Associate Professor and Executive Director at the Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE) at Duke University, where efforts focus on advancing sustainability strategies and educating the next generation of leaders. Additionally, Dan serves as Director of the Corporate Sustainability Initiative at Entrepreneurs for Impact and holds mentoring and advisory roles with Trane Technologies and SeaAhead. With a background that includes a directorship in sustainable value chain and water management at The Coca-Cola Company, Dan has extensive experience in climate strategy, sustainability, and corporate engagement. Dan earned a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University and has degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Virginia and Hope College, respectively.
