Doug Burns

Doug Burns is an accomplished fire investigation professional with extensive experience in various roles within the fire safety and investigation sectors. Since November 2007, Doug has served as a Senior Fire Investigator, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Asbestos Inspector at EFI Global, specializing in origin and cause investigations. Prior to this, Doug dedicated 20 years to the Somerset Fire Department, culminating as a retired Battalion Chief/Investigator, overseeing fire suppression and investigations. Doug began a career in public safety with the Somerset Police Department, initially as a Clerk/Safety Officer in the early 1990s. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Police Administration and Management/Fire Safety Engineering from Eastern Kentucky University and an Associate of Science in Fire/Rescue Technology from KCTCS.
