Rajat Mishra has always been a passionate practitioner for safe and smooth traffic flows on the roads. In his current role, working as CEO of EFKON India since 2013, he and his team are constantly striving to offer global customers end-to-end intelligent transportation solutions, customized system integration, and lifecycle services program for smooth and safer roads.
EFKON India is one of the country's leading providers of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), Enforcement and Traffic Telematics, Smart City solutions. Rajat has significant know-how on delivering innovative components to customized turn-key solutions, providing high-quality state-of-the-art equipment tailored to individual customer needs on service, security, reliability, and accuracy.
Over the last 25 years, Rajat was responsible for leadership roles in global organizations such as Siemens, Atos, Steria, and EFKON (both in Europe and India). His roles demanded the creation of several innovative software products out of India, breaking the monopoly of large established European and American companies. These experiences have helped him gain domain expertise in the internal security and traffic management spaces.
Currently, he is also the President of Manava Bharti Society, founded by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Dr. S Radhakrishnan, and Dr. D P Pandey in 1942 with a mission to identify the strengths of a child early and strengthen them with the sole aim of creating future leaders. Inspired by the vision of the founders, Rajat is delighted to carry forward a 75 years old legacy of creating learning spaces for the children, the future citizens. He is also part of philanthropic activities that include the management of several educational institutions providing low-cost education to more than 10,000 children in Uttarakhand and Bihar. He is always happy to invest in opportunities that help create profound social impacts.
He is an active investor and has made several investments in EdTech and Fintech domains. At present, he is mentoring two ventures, which is using AI to solve traffic and transport problems.
Rajat holds a B. Tech degree from IIT, Delhi, and a management post-graduation from IIFT, Delhi.
