Sara Ward

Sara Ward is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education, sports management, and leadership roles. Currently serving as an EFL Together Advisory Panel Member and Director of Executive & Postgraduate Education at Leeds Beckett University, Sara has previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer (Community) at Burnley FC and Dean of Academic Studies at UA92. During a notable tenure at The Manchester Metropolitan University, Sara was both MBA & Executive Programmes Director and a Senior Lecturer in Sport Management & Marketing. Sara's early career includes roles as Regional Director at Hays and Trainee Auditor at KPMG. An academic scholar, Sara holds a Ph.D. in Football Governance & Supporter Ownership, alongside multiple degrees from The Manchester Metropolitan University and other institutions.
