Lead Software Architect And Team Leader at EFR GmbH

Kristóf Havasi has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. Kristóf began their career as an intern at Markus Medele Elektro- und Gebäudetechnik GmbH in 2012 and later worked as an assistant at Elektro Reiter GmbH in 2013. In 2014, they joined EFR GmbH as a working student, where they built a test bench for validating switching schedules and gained experience with technologies such as MySQL, Apache, PHP, and JavaScript.

Kristóf then pursued a bachelor's degree while interning at Europäische Funk-Rundsteuerung GmbH in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Werkstudent at EFR GmbH, studying the IEC-61850 Standard and co-developing a test framework for the Smart Meter Gateway using web technologies.

In 2016, Kristóf served as a research intern at ParkHere GmbH before starting their master's studies at TUM Chair of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems in 2017. As a master's student, they contributed to the chair's open-source energy grid analysis projects, focusing on quality assurance and graph-based analysis.

During this time, Kristóf also co-founded Profil Four Kft. in 2011, where they served as co-owner until 2020.

Since 2017, Kristóf has been working at EFR GmbH, initially as a software engineer and project engineer. Kristóf attended VDE/FNN expert groups, prototyped IEC 61850-based solutions, and worked on broadband power-line field test projects. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of lead software engineer, focusing on the development of the company's compliant Smart Meter Gateway.

Currently, Kristóf holds the position of lead software architect and team leader at EFR GmbH. Kristóf optimizes the company's tech stacks, bridges gaps between teams, and enables their engineers to work efficiently and deliver high-quality products in the embedded Linux and cloud native applications domains.

Kristóf Havasi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 2011 to 2015. In 2013 and 2014, Kristóf also studied Electrical Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Havasi later pursued further education at Technical University of Munich from 2015 to 2017, specializing in Electrical Engineering.
