Isabel Batista-Pirhonen

Isabel Batista-Pirhonen serves as a Senior Manager at EFRAG European Financial Reporting Group since July 2006, where leadership is provided on financial reporting and IFRS projects, liaising with key stakeholders such as the European Commission, regulators, and CFOs. Prior experience includes a Senior Manager position in Advisory Services at KPMG from February 1998 to June 2006, where Isabel played a pivotal role in establishing the IFRS Desk in Belgium and led IFRS conversions for large European groups. Earlier roles include consulting for FINNIDA in Mozambique, financial advising for KPMG in Mozambique and South Africa, and serving as Assistant Accountant for Barlow Group Ltd in South Africa. Isabel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and an Honours in Accounting Science from WITS and UNISA in South Africa.
