Sustainability Reporting Technical Manager at EFRAG

Valeria Villacorta Cussianovich is a Sustainability Reporting Technical Manager at EFRAG since August 2022, previously holding the position of Sustainability Reporting Junior Technical Manager. Valeria has experience as a Legal Policy Officer at Sociedad Peruana de Hidrocarburos from September 2019 to December 2020 and served as an Associate Teacher at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in 2019, focusing on fundamental rights at work and social protection. Prior involvement with the International Labour Organization included roles as a Technical Assistant and Intern from May 2013 to December 2017. Valeria also worked as a Research Assistant at Universidad de Lima, contributing to studies on the rights of children and adolescents, and as a Teaching Assistant in a Master's course on labour law. Valeria began legal training as an Intern at Estudio Sparrow, Hundskopf & Villanueva in early 2012. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de Lima and ongoing pursuit of an Attorney at Law professional degree from the same institution since January 2021.

EFRAG

EFRAG is a private association established in 2001 with the encouragement of the European Commission to serve the public interest. EFRAG extended its mission in 2022 following the new role assigned to EFRAG in the CSRD, providing Technical Advice to the European Commission in the form of fully prepared draft EU Sustainability Reporting Standards and/or draft amendments to these Standards. Its Member Organisations are European stakeholders and National Organisations and Civil Society Organisations. EFRAG’s activities are organised in two pillars: A Financial Reporting Pillar: influencing the development of IFRS Standards from a European perspective and how they contribute to the efficiency of capital markets and providing endorsement advice on (amendments to) IFRS Standards to the European Commission. Secondly, a Sustainability Reporting Pillar: developing draft EU Sustainability Reporting Standards, and related amendments for the European Commission.
