Syed Amir Aftab

Syed Amir Aftab is the current Assistant Executive Director at EFU General Insurance Ltd. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Reinsurance at Premier Insurance Limited from August 2015 to April 2017. In this role, they were responsible for cost-effective and sustainable facultative arrangement of major accounts above treaty limits in both local and foreign Reinsurance markets. Syed was also responsible for efficiently managing a portfolio of Fire/Engineering/Terrorism/Liability accounts including fronting business, monitoring facultative inward business, and assisting with treaty renewals.

Amir has always been a driven individual with a passion for insurance. Syed started their career in the industry in 2001 and has since gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. Syed is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Syed is also an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Amir is a highly valued member of the team at EFU General Insurance Ltd. Their experience and expertise are instrumental in ensuring the company provides cost-effective and sustainable insurance solutions for its clients.

Syed Amir Aftab completed a certificate in insurance from The Chartered Insurance institute in the UK. Syed then went on to get their MBA in finance from Iqra University. Finally, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering in chemical engineering from Dawood University of Engineering and Technology.

Their manager is Hasanali Abdullah, MD & CEO. They work with Nudrat Ali - Deputy Managing Director, Altaf Qamruddin Gokal - Deputy Managing Director, and Muhammad Iqbal Lodhia - Senior Executive Director.
