Ali Ather

Ali Ather, CFA, serves as the Head of Investment at EFU Life Assurance Ltd., managing a portfolio of approximately USD 600 million across Pakistan's fixed-income and equity markets since September 2021. Previously, Ali held the role of Lead Research Analyst and Visiting Lecturer at Hamdard University, where financial statement analysis was taught to MBA and BBA students. Ali also worked as a Venture Associate at Lakson Venture Capital and held several positions, including Manager Research and Assistant Manager Research, at Lakson Investments Limited, focusing on client coordination, monthly reporting, and investor relations. Earlier experience includes a Management Associate position at Magnus Investment Advisors Ltd., specializing in portfolio management and business development, as well as an internship at Deloitte Pakistan in auditing. Ali holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with a focus on finance from Karachi University.
