Colin Wells

Colin Wells has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting roles. Colin began their career as a Trainee Accountant at Knox Cropper from 1983 to 1987. Colin then worked as a Business Services Manager at Touche Ross from January 1990 to July 1993, followed by a role as a Senior Manager at Warner Marsh from August 1993 to July 1997. Colin then joined Durrants as a Manager from July 1997 to May 2001.

In 2001, Colin became the Finance Manager at Intuit Ltd, where they oversaw the European finance function. During their tenure, they had extended responsibilities for facilities, IT systems, company secretarial and legal functions, and the HR function. Colin handled monthly GAAP, SEC, and audit reporting to HQ, prepared forecasts and one-three year plans, ensured compliance with revenue recognition standards, managed tax reporting, and prepared statutory financial statements.

From March 2005 to October 2006, Colin worked as a Finance Manager at MapInfo, where they oversaw the financial accounting requirements of the EMEA region. Colin managed multiple UK companies and European branch offices, leading a team of 9 direct reports.

Colin then joined RightNow Technologies as the Director of Finance from November 2006 to June 2013. In this role, they worked closely with regional General Managers to report and forecast revenue for sales and professional services operations. Colin achieved significant growth in revenue, reduced costs, and improved professional services margins. Colin also performed HR, facilities, and legal responsibilities and acted as a conduit between the US and other functional units.

Colin joined Oracle in March 2012 as the Finance Director - International - RightNow, a position they held until June 2013.

Colin's most recent roles were at eGain Corporation, where they served as the European Finance Director from June 2013 to May 2017, Vice President of Finance from June 2017 to present, and Vice President and Corporate Controller from June 2019 to present. In these roles, they managed international finance operations, supervised accounting teams, and reported to the headquarters in the US.

Colin Wells attended the University of Portsmouth from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. Afterward, they pursued further education at ICAEW from 1985 to 1988, although specific details about the degree and field of study are unavailable.
