Daniel James Firl

Postdoctoral Associate at eGenesis

Daniel James Firl is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Postdoctoral Associate at eGenesis, Inc., both positions held since July 2020. Additionally, Daniel serves as a Resident Physician at Duke University Health System since June 2018 and has been a Medical Research Fellow at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since June 2015. Previous research experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, focusing on B lymphocyte regulation in heterotopic cardiac transplant models, as well as positions as a Research Assistant at Boston Children's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, investigating neurodevelopmental disorders and ischemia/reperfusion injury, respectively. Daniel earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine between 2013 and 2018 and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry and Economics, graduated cum laude from Boston College in 2012.
