Maarten van Rossum

Maarten van Rossum has extensive experience in various finance and management roles. Maarten is currently serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Egeria, an independent investment company focused on long-term value growth. Prior to this, they worked as an Interim Manager at Seven Hills Capital LLC, providing C-level interim support and advising clients on various financial transactions. Maarten also served as the Chief Financial Officer at River Basin Energy Inc., where they played a key role in supporting the global energy transition. Earlier in their career, Maarten worked at KPMG Ltd in Transaction Services, specializing in M&A transactions, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers Accountants N.V. as an Assistant Manager in the international audit practice. Maarten also has previous work experience at ING Bank, Lufthansa Technik - Hamburg, and BESI - BE Semiconductor Industries N.V.

Maarten van Rossum has a diverse education history. In 1999, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics at Radboud University. Later that year, they undertook a short-term course in Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

In 2002, van Rossum enrolled at Erasmus University Rotterdam to obtain their Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification, which they successfully completed in 2005. Concurrently, they also pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Business Economics at the same university, which they earned in 2002.

Seeking further specialization, van Rossum pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Financial Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2004 to 2006.

Recently, in 2019, they attended a program at the MIT Sloan School of Management focusing on Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation & Application.

Additionally, in 2007, van Rossum obtained a certification as a Member of the Royal Dutch Institute of Chartered Accountants from the Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA).
