Gavin Philipps

Gavin Philipps has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1995 as an Artillery Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where they achieved the rank of Captain and oversaw operations for an artillery battery. In 1999, they transitioned to a sales role at Covidien, focusing on the medical field.

Gavin'scareer in the medical device industry began in 2003 at Boston Scientific, where they started as a Sales Representative and later became a Regional Sales Manager, responsible for managing and growing over $50 million in sales across five states. Gavin then moved into a management role as Manager of Leadership and Sales Development, where they developed and executed training programs for managers, directors, and sales representatives.

In 2012, Philipps became the Director of Sales Strategy & Operations for the Cardiology Division of a medical device company, overseeing profit development, strategic planning, key account management, and more. Gavin also held the role of Area Vice President of Corporate Accounts and Healthcare Solutions, where they worked with healthcare executives and physicians to create more value for organizations.

From 2016 to 2020, Philipps served as the Area Vice President Urology and National Commercial Leader for Pelvic Health at Boston Scientific, leading a team of sales representatives and driving growth in the Pelvic Floor franchise. Additionally, they held the position of VP and Head of Sales for Prostate Health, leading the US commercial efforts for the Prostate Health portfolio.

In 2022, Philipps moved to Butterfly Network, Inc. as the Vice President of Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Enablement, and Operations. Gavin implemented a go-to-market commercial strategy, marketing programs, and sales processes and helped streamline sales cycles.

Gavin also worked as a Chief Commercial/Revenue Officer Consultant at GLG, providing guidance and insights to organizations in the medical device and SaaS industries.

Lastly, in 2022, Philipps joined Next Step Development Corporation as a Board of Directors member, contributing to the non-profit organization's mission of providing permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Currently, Philipps holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at EGG Medical, a company focused on reducing scatter radiation exposure in healthcare settings.

Gavin Philipps has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Purdue University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. Gavin later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Strategy and Leadership from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, attending from 2001 to 2003. Recently, in 2021, Gavin received a Brand Management Certification in Marketing from Columbia University.
