Alcides Hernandez

Alcides Hernandez has been working in the communications industry since 1982. Alcides began their career as the Director of POSCAE-UNAH, a Central American and Caribbean Graduate School in Economic Development. Alcides managed Professors, Students, Grants, Research, and Publications with a regional view, and participated in forums, symposiums, and research with CSUCA, CEPAL, United Nations, and other organizations. In 1994, they founded and became Owner of Compunet S. de R.L., an Internet Service Provider in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Alcides managed all operations and executive decisions for the company for over 15 years, transitioning from dial-up to wireless, web hosting, internet education, and a computer classroom. In 2004, they co-founded EGLA Communications, where they serve as CEO and President. Alcides is involved in strategic decisions, management, business relationships, and provides financial modeling and company direction. Alcides works with Over-the-Top, Cable head end equipment, mobile streaming applications, and ROKU/IPTV Systems.

Alcides Hernandez obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTONOMA DE HONDURAS between 1978 and 1982.
