Mark Waghorn

Director, Delivery Management at Egress

Mark Waghorn is the current Director of Delivery Management at Egress. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at easyJet from January 2013 to August 2017. There, they were responsible for the management of the full end-to-end implementation of various large projects, such as the new easyJet holidays website, the new easyJet Plus membership website and systems integration, multiple workstreams involving the batch and real-time transfer of customer data from and to various systems/channels (Web, Mobile, Call Centre, Marketing, Social Media) to support CEM & CRM initiatives, Apple Pay on Web, the transition of test environments to Amazon Web Services including upgrade of easyJet's Akamai content delivery network, website accessibility compliance to Level AA of the WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Guidelines, payments failover accreditation with Elavon Merchant Services, and various 'BAU' continuous improvement projects.

Mark's responsibilities included involvement in RFP processes and supplier/system selection, assistance with the drawing up of contractual service schedules, assistance with the preparation of the business case in terms of resources, costs, timescales, etc., project set-up, initiation and planning, risk and issue management, status reporting across all aspects of the project, stakeholder engagement and attendance at project board meetings and steering groups, budget ownership and management, overseeing all stages of the project from initial design and requirements gathering through to development, testing, training, service readiness, go-live, transition to support and project closure, assessing dependencies and impact on other projects and business areas, change control, and maintaining an involvement with the project after initial go-live to ensure open defects and issues are resolved and support the planning of future phases and/or enhancements.

Mark Waghorn has a BSc Honours Degree in Physics from Portsmouth Polytechnic.

Mark Waghorn reports to Tony Pepper Board, CEO. They are on a team with Robin Bell - CIO, Richard Mortimer - Chief People Officer, and Richard Green - Director of Security & Compliance.
