Ron Cohen

Ron Cohen, M.D., is an accomplished leader in the biotechnology sector with extensive experience in various senior roles. Currently serving as a Board Member at Egret Therapeutics since August 2024, Cohen previously held the position of President and CEO at Acorda Therapeutics from March 1995 to August 2024. Additionally, Cohen has contributed to the Biotechnology Innovation Organization as a Board Member and Chair of the Board from June 2002 to June 2024 and served as a Board Member and Chair of the Board for the New York Biotechnology Association from 1997 to 2008. Earlier in their career, Cohen held key positions at Advanced Tissue Sciences as VP and at MetroMedical as Medical Director, also serving as a Staff Physician at MetroMed. Cohen's educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Princeton University and an M.D. from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, complemented by completing an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Virginia.
