Elankumaran Srinivasan has a range of experience in the software engineering field. Elankumaran started their career in 2008 at Tata Consultancy Services as a System Analyst/Software Engineer. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Tata Consultancy Services, with Qualcomm as a client, where they focused on developing a microservice-based IoT platform on the AWS cloud. During this time, they utilized technologies such as OAuth2, Spring Boot, Cassandra, and Kafka.

In 2015, Elankumaran joined eharmony as a Senior Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included building a programmatic advertising inventory system, integrating with third-party inventory systems, and implementing algorithms for AD selection and injection. Elankumaran also worked on migrating features from a monolithic application to a microservice-based architecture and enabling social media registration on the eharmony site. Additionally, they set up monitoring and metrics collection systems to measure application performance.

Finally, in 2017, Elankumaran Srinivasan became a MongoDB Certified Developer Associate through MongoDB.
