Catherine Seltzer Mitchell has a diverse work history spanning various roles and industries. Catherine began their career as a Corporate Banking Officer at SunTrust Bank, where they worked with relationship managers to structure debt facilities for companies. Catherine then moved on to Wachovia Securities as an Investment Banking Summer Associate, where they prepared client presentations and created financial models. Catherine later joined Barclays Capital as a Global Loans Associate, marketing and distributing syndicated loans and advising clients on loan market trends.

In 2005, Catherine transitioned into the hospitality industry, serving as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Kempinski Hotel N'Djamena, where they introduced the new five-star hotel to the local market through corporate relations and marketing efforts. Catherine then ventured into entrepreneurship, founding and owning Leta Totes & Accessories, where they designed, produced, and marketed women's accessories combining American style with local African fabrics.

Returning to the finance sector, Catherine worked as a Financial Analyst at Serengeti Advisors, collaborating with foreign investors and local companies to structure financial and strategic solutions. Catherine created financial models and projections, as well as offering memorandums.

Catherine's passion for combining finance and international development led their to join the non-profit sector, working at More Than Me as the Director of Finance & Operations, overseeing financial and operational aspects of the organization. Catherine currently holds the position of Deputy Director of Finance at eHealth Systems Africa, contributing to the organization's financial management and operations.

Catherine Seltzer Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Finance & Insurance from the University of Florida in 1997. Catherine later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Finance from Emory University's Goizueta Business School, completing their degree in 2002.
