Ken Buchanan is a seasoned professional in project planning and management, currently serving as Senior Planning Manager at EIC Activities since November 2017. With extensive experience across major infrastructure projects in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, Ken has integrated innovative delivery methods and provided project assurance for road, rail, and property construction. Prior roles include Programme Manager at PRGM LIMITED and Planning and Controls Manager at CPB Contractors, where responsibilities encompassed project planning and controls management as well as oversight for the Wellington Tunnels Alliance refurbishment project. Ken's career began with a focus on service delivery management at Unison Networks Ltd. Ken holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury and an Advanced Trade Certificate in Fitting and Welding from Manawatu Polytechnic.

It provides specialist design, technical support, research and technology for Group projects and enhances the Group’s ability to mitigate and manage risk. EIC Activities delivers solutions, capability and innovation in the disciplines of infrastructure, industrial, building and specialist design for projects tendered and delivered by the Group. EIC Activities supports its capability through other technical groups within the ACS Group, including HOCHTIEF, Dragados and Turner. The EIC name stands for Engineering, Innovation and Capability.
