Paul Steffen

Paul Steffen is currently a Board Member at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL. Prior to that, they were a member of the Board of Trustees at ICARDA from January 2008 to December 2014, where they were also Chair of the Nomination Committee and Member of the Executive & Finance Committee. From January 2014 to December 2017, they were Institutsleiter and Leiter Corporate Research Agroscope at Agroscope-Institut für Nachhaltigkeitswissenschaften INH. Paul has also been a Member of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee at Bayerische Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft LfL since 2007 and a Member of the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR) of the European Commission from 2007 to 2016.

Paul Steffen holds an Executive MBA from the Universität St.Gallen - Hochschule für Wirtschafts-, Rechts- und Sozialwissenschaften, a Dr. sc. nat. from ETH Zürich, and a Dipl. Ing.-Agr. ETH from ETH Zürich. Paul has also been a Visiting Scientist at Colorado State University.
