Lies Spruit

Lies Spruit is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and governance roles. Currently serving as the Burgemeester for gemeente Lisse since December 2011, Lies has also held the position of Wnd Burgemeester. In addition, Lies has been an Ambassadeur at Eigen Kracht Centrale since August 2011 and previously served as Voorzitter Raad van Toezicht at MEE IJsseloevers until July 2014. Other notable positions include Waarnemend Burgemeester for Gemeente Uithoorn in 2010, commissaris at Vitens from 1998 to 2010, and Programmamanager Krachtwijk Kanaleneiland at Gemeente Utrecht. Lies has a background in policy advising and gender programs, having worked as Senior Beleidsadviseur at Radar and in the Ministry of Defense's Programmamanagement Genderforce. Educational qualifications include degrees in Opbouwwerk and Atheneum B, with an academic foundation starting in primary education.
