Sreeram Kannan

Sreeram Kannan is the Chief Executive Officer at EigenLayer since July 2021 and serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Washington from November 2014. Kannan's research focuses on information sciences and its applications in blockchains, artificial intelligence, wireless communication, and computational biology. Previously, Kannan held an Associate Professor position at UC Berkeley from October 2012 to October 2015 and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow with a focus on information theoretic methods in computational biology. Kannan's academic background includes a Ph.D. and Master's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Science. The educational journey also includes a Bachelor's degree from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and research experience at notable institutions such as Microsoft and Qualcomm.
