David Heinz

David Heinz is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as a Staff Research and Development Engineer at Eight Sleep since October 2021, David previously held key positions such as Staff Hardware Engineer at Atriomx Health and Senior Hardware Engineer at Verily Life Sciences. Academic roles include serving as a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at Stanford University, where responsibilities involved hands-on instruction in a graduate-level mechatronics course. Additionally, David co-founded Running Farm Labs, a successful crowd-funded venture that surpassed its Kickstarter fundraising goal. David holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University.
